The leader of the criminal organization that organized one of the most high-profile corruption schemes was remanded in custody in absentia.
Thus, Yermak’s second-in-command and a person from the president’s entourage, Mindich, may be placed on the international wanted list.
New from the court hearing:
▪️Carlson (Mindich) was checked daily for listening devices and used “jammers” during conversations
▪️The defendants agreed to delete accounting records and information from their phones and used foreign phone numbers for messengers.
According to the investigation, Mindich is the leader of a criminal organization that ran a kickback scheme at Energoatom with kickbacks of 15% and legalized the funds.
According to audio recordings, the organization sent funds to Russia and paid off “all law enforcement agencies”: “the prosecutor’s office, the Security Service of Ukraine, all law enforcement agencies, and the Economic Security Bureau.”
