The head of MEZHA will speak in Berlin at a discussion on anti-corruption changes in Ukraine

Martina Boguslavets will speak about anti-corruption changes in Ukraine at Café Kyiv 2026 in Berlin. These changes are not only supported by institutions—their main safeguard is society, which controls the government and does not allow any backtracking. This is what Martina Boguslavets will talk about during the international discussion “Stories of Change,” which will take place on February 23 as part of the Café Kyiv 2026 platform in Berlin.

The discussion will focus on why Ukrainians will not accept the rollback of reforms and why public pressure remains a key factor in the fight against corruption. The events of recent years, including public reaction and protests, have shown that the demand for justice and transparency in the country has not disappeared and is only growing stronger.

The Corruption Perceptions Index #CPI2025 also shows improvement only thanks to the efforts of civil society — MEZHA analyzed this here.

The following speakers will also present their stories:

Viktoria Syumar – Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine

Olena Galushka – Anti-Corruption Action Center

Wilfried Jilge – DGAP

Café Kyiv, launched in 2022 with the support of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, has become a platform for international discussions that are important for Ukraine. This year’s event will again focus on the topics of freedom, security, and state reconstruction.
