The High Anti-Corruption Court set bail for Galushchenko: he will be held in custody. The court recognized the risk of Herman Galushchenko fleeing as real and applied the most severe preventive measure—detention for a period of 60 days.
At the same time, the court determined an alternative in the form of bail. 200 million hryvnias and mandatory wearing of an electronic bracelet.
Responsibilities:
- appear before the investigator, prosecutor, and court upon first request;
- not to leave Kyiv and the surrounding region
- to notify the investigator, prosecutor, and court of any change of residence
- to refrain from communicating with suspects in this criminal proceeding, witnesses, and any other persons regarding the circumstances set forth in the suspicion;
- to hand over foreign passports
According to the investigation, Galushchenko was one of the key participants in a financial scheme through which hundreds of millions of hryvnias were legalized through offshore companies and the Swiss investment fund Hamilton Investment Fund.

The total amount of legalized funds is at least UAH 426 million. According to the case file, Galushchenko received more than US$9 million.
In the “Manhattan file,” he appears under the pseudonyms ‘Sigismund’ and “Professor” as a recipient of regular payments. NABU tapes recorded discussions of his intentions to leave the country. Part of the legalized funds was used to pay for his children’s education in Switzerland.
It is clear that for a person who, according to the investigation, received more than $9 million, the issue of a bail of UAH 200 million is a matter of time. The likelihood that these funds will be paid is high.
That is why a functioning electronic bracelet is of fundamental importance, especially given that Mindich, a key figure in the scheme, has already left Ukraine.
