Customs candidate Miroshnychenko registers property in the name of his mother-in-law and wife

Mykhailo Miroshnychenko’s mother-in-law owns four apartments and a 2024 Volkswagen Touareg worth $63,000. However, since 1998, she has earned only $4,000 and does not have a driver’s license. His wife (who has no corresponding income) owns an Audi Q7 and a Mercedes-Benz GLE 350DE.

The former head of the Odessa customs office systematically registers property in the names of women in his family who do not have the corresponding income.

Miroshnychenko’s wife owns two cars, an apartment, two parking spaces, a garage, and a motorcycle. In particular, she purchased a 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE 350DE. The value in the declaration is UAH 2 million, while the market price is about UAH 3.5 million. His wife’s income is not listed in the declarations for 2015 and 2016. Despite this, in 2016, $30,000 in cash belonging to her was declared. His wife also owns an AUDI Q7 worth UAH 3.1 million.

Miroshnychenko’s mother-in-law, a pensioner, became the owner of three apartments in Kyiv with a total area of almost 300 square meters, as well as a 2024 Volkswagen Touareg.

Miroshnychenko himself purchased an apartment in Kyiv in 2016 with an area of 78.9 square meters for 780,000 hryvnia. Of this amount, 950,000 hryvnia, according to the declaration, was gifted to him by his mother. The sources of these funds are unknown.

Miroshnychenko was dismissed from customs for “grain schemes”: according to the conclusions of the Temporary Investigation Commission, the amount of budget losses from the circulation of “black grain” in August-September 2022 alone was about UAH 5 billion.
