An $8 million house and cars registered to relatives: the wealth of customs candidate Sych

The first deputy head of the Kyiv Customs Office, Pavlo Sych, lives in an elite house in Vyshgorod. A house worth 8 million is registered to his mother-in-law, another to his father-in-law, a new Suzuki to his mother, and a Toyota to his sister, who works for customs. In fact, he himself uses the property.

In 2019, Sych’s mother-in-law registered a house in Vyshhorod in her name. The house, with a market value of 8.1 million hryvnias, became the actual place of residence of the Sych family from day one, although his mother-in-law did not have the official income to make such a purchase. Three years later, the house was “gifted” to Sych’s wife through a gift agreement.

In February 2022, Sych’s father-in-law purchased a house in Novi Petrivtsi with a market value of UAH 2.3 million. Obviously, he also did not have sufficient income for the purchase.

In 2023, Sych’s mother (a district doctor in Novhorod-Siverskyi, now retired) purchased a 2023 SUZUKI Vitara (from UAH 724,000). In 2024, Sych’s wife began to use a 2020 Toyota RAV-4 HYBRID, which belongs to the official’s sister, free of charge. His wife’s father also owns a 2022 TOYOTA HYBRID.

The registration of valuable property for close relatives is a key issue for Pavlo Sych, a candidate for the position of head of the State Customs Service.
