38 candidates will take tests for the position of Head of Customs

The first practical stage—testing the general abilities of candidates for the position of chief customs officer of the country—will take place on January 17, with 38 candidates participating.

The next stage will be attended by candidates who have scored a passing grade and are among the top 25 candidates in the ranking. The rankings will be published within three days after the testing.

Earlier, MEZHA analyzed the top five candidates who raise many questions. All of them have worked or are working in customs. Among them are

Stanislav Baluyev, known for not attending a meeting with Zelensky in 2019.

Mykhailo Miroshnychenko, who during his interview for the position of head of the NACP stated that he was “shocked” by the amount of property and businesses owned by his 76-year-old mother-in-law.

Ivan Kerezvas, acting head of the Lviv Customs Service, known for his luxury car fleet; a figure in Mykhailo Tkach’s investigation.

Daniil Menshikov, former head of the Cherkasy and Lviv Customs, who did not declare houses worth UAH 13 million.

Vladislav Suvorov, deputy head of the State Customs Service, who uses property registered to relatives.

Restarting customs through a transparent competition is one of the IMF’s requirements, as is the issue of reforming the agency, which tops the rankings of one of the most corrupt sectors.
