Fifteen candidates will participate in the final interviews for the position of customs chief — all of them have completed the practical tasks. At the same time, the candidates are undergoing integrity checks and special screening.
Kostyantyn Hordetskyi did not show up for testing and will not proceed further. Here is the full list of candidates who remain in the competition:
- Oleksandr Boiko
- Mykhailo Burtovyi
- Ruslan Damentsov
- Dmitry Zabavsky
- Vladimir Ilnitsky
- Ivan Kerezvas
- Orest Mandziy
- Daniil Menshikov
- Mikhail Miroshnichenko
- Ilia Nizhnikov
- Pavel Sych
- Liubov Sokolova
- Vladyslav Suvorov
- Alexander Fedoryshyn
- Oleg Khilkovsky
Before the interviews, these candidates will undergo:
- an interview with a psychologist to determine risks and their motivation;
- a check of their integrity by the commission (information from the public is taken into account, MEZHA has submitted materials);
- a special check.
The candidates also submitted their declarations for 2025 — MEZHA sent its materials and reservations to the commission. There are still candidates in the competition whose integrity raises too many questions.
Important: special checks should not become a tool for delaying and manipulating the process in the hands of individual law enforcement officers. We saw similar cases last year during the BES competition.
The head of customs must be appointed in March — this is a requirement of the IMF. The commission must give five days’ notice of the start of interviews, which will be broadcast online.
